Terms and Conditions for Ticket Buyers of the EBC Symposium and BSG

The following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all ticket purchases for the EBC Symposium and BSG of the EBC, to be held from May 18 to May 22, 2025, in Budapest, Hungary. By purchasing a ticket for the event, the ticket holder (“Attendee”) agrees to be bound by these Terms.

1. Ticketing Agent
CEBC Expo Kft. (“CEBC”) is the official ticketing agent for the EBC Symposium. CEBC is responsible for processing ticket sales, handling payments, and providing registration services for the event. CEBC acts solely as an agent for the Principal (The Brewers of Europe aisbl, “Principal”) and is not responsible for the organization or content of the event.

2. Ticket Purchase and Payment
2.1. Ticket Sales
Tickets for the EBC Symposium can be purchased online through the official CEBC platform. All prices are listed in euros (EUR) and HUF and inclusive of applicable taxes. The buyer will be charged the HUF amount.
2.2. Payment Terms
Full payment is required at the time of registration. CEBC accepts payment through credit/debit cards.
2.3. Confirmation of Purchase
Once payment is processed, a confirmation email with the invoice will be sent to the Attendee. The invoice is proof of registration and must be presented for entry to the event.

3. Event Changes and Cancellation
3.1. Event Changes
While the Principal aims to ensure that the event runs as scheduled, the Principal and CEBC reserve the right to modify the event details, including the schedule, speakers, and venue, at any time and without prior notice.
3.2. Event Cancellation by Principal
In the event that the symposium is canceled for reasons beyond the control of CEBC, such as force majeure events (e.g., epidemics, pandemics, strikes, or natural disasters), the Attendee will be informed promptly. CEBC, in such cases, is not responsible for any damages or costs incurred by the Attendee.
3.3. Refund Policy
If the event is canceled or rescheduled due to circumstances beyond the control of the Principal or CEBC, ticket holders will be eligible for a refund, subject to any applicable administrative fees. Refund requests must be submitted in writing within 30 days following the cancellation or rescheduling announcement.
3.4. No Show / Failure to Attend
CEBC is not liable for any refund or compensation if the Attendee fails to attend the event for any reason, including but not limited to travel disruptions, personal circumstances, or health issues.

4. Ticket Transfer and Substitution
4.1. Ticket Transfer
Attendees may transfer their ticket to another individual, provided that the transfer is completed through the official ticketing system. CEBC must be notified of any transfer at least 48 hours before the start of the event.
4.2. Substitution
Substitutions for attendees are allowed if notified to CEBC in writing no less than 48 hours before the start of the event. The substitute must meet the same eligibility criteria as the original registrant.

5. Liability and Indemnity
5.1. Limitation of Liability
CEBC, as the ticketing agent, shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of profits, or any other type of loss or damage arising from the Attendee’s participation in the event or their inability to attend due to reasons beyond CEBC’s control.
5.2. Indemnification
By purchasing a ticket, the Attendee agrees to indemnify and hold harmless CEBC, its affiliates, employees, agents, and contractors from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of the Attendee’s participation in the event, including any claims arising from personal injury, property damage, or theft.
5.3. Third-Party Providers
The Principal, not CEBC, is responsible for the content, organization, and safety of the symposium. CEBC is not liable for any issues arising from the content or conduct of the event, including the actions of speakers, vendors, or other attendees.

6. Personal Data
6.1. Data Collection and Use
By purchasing a ticket, the Attendee agrees that CEBC may collect and store personal data provided during the registration process for the purposes of event management and communication. CEBC will process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
6.2. Marketing Communications
By purchasing a ticket, the Attendee consents to receive communications related to the EBC Symposium, including updates, reminders, and promotional offers. The Attendee can opt-out of marketing communications at any time.
6.3. Photography and Videography Consent
By purchasing a ticket to this event, you consent to the collection, use, and processing of your image and/or video footage that may be captured during the event. The event organizers may use these images and videos for promotional, marketing, and public relations purposes across various media channels, including social media, websites, and printed materials.

Your data will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please inform a member of the event staff upon arrival.

7. Force Majeure
Neither CEBC nor the Principal shall be liable for failure or delay in performance under these Terms due to causes beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, war, government actions, or other unforeseen events. In such cases, the event may be rescheduled or canceled without liability to the Attendee.

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hungary. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hungary.

9. Miscellaneous
9.1. Amendments
CEBC reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be communicated to ticket holders and will apply to all future ticket purchases.
9.2. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between CEBC and the Attendee regarding ticket sales for the EBC Symposium. Any prior agreements or understandings are superseded by these Terms.
By purchasing a ticket for the EBC Symposium, the Attendee acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
